Valere “Stuck In My Head”

Valere shares about her international tour, first visit to the Philippines, upcoming EP, and her inspirations. Shana Graham, known as Valere, is an emerging Filipino singer-songwriter who is currently based in New Zealand. She recently dropped her latest single titled "Stuck In My Head", complete with a music video shot at her auntie's house in the Philippines.

Valere's first international tour was a thrilling experience, which lasted for two months and included 11 cities, including her hometown, Cebu. The experience was a unique one for her, as it provided her with an opportunity to reconnect with her roots and the local music scene where she grew up. Her performance in Cebu was a special moment, and she described it as a great way to reconnect with her past. Valere also enjoyed playing in other places she had never been to before, such as Australia, which she found to be "awesome and beautiful to drive around." After the tour, she felt optimistic about where her music could take her.

Valere's recent trip to the Philippines was a significant one for her as it was her first time visiting her birth country with her husband and daughter. Although she encountered some challenging situations, Valere found the trip fun and rejuvenating as she was able to show her family the place where she grew up. She hopes to return to the Philippines soon and use her music to connect with her roots.

Valere's latest single "Stuck In My Head" is a beautiful love song about the struggles of long-distance relationships. The track is produced by Valere herself and features the talented musician Luigi Balazo, who is based in Cebu and part of the alt-pop duo, Sepia Times. The song's instrumentals and DJ foley add a 2000's vibe, giving the track a modern yet nostalgic feel. The single is mixed and mastered by Michael Collier.

Valere's upcoming EP is inspired by finding beauty in mundane situations, like home life. She drew inspiration from artists such as Phoebe Bridgers and Japanese Breakfast, with a focus on storytelling and upping her lyrical game. Her unique sound and compelling storytelling make her an artist to watch out for in 2023, and her fans can expect her to make waves in the music industry with more shows and another single on the way. Valere is set to release her EP soon, and fans can expect release parties to follow.
