“I find working with artists doing what I love always will be a great highlight. If I had to choose a moment it would be this moment! To still be alive and motivated. I’m grateful my creative well is still feeding me.”

- Lil Eddie

When you ask a lot of people around the world what they think about Filipino talent, they will always say that we were made for the limelight, and this next artist is a true testament to that. Twelve-time Grammy-nominated and two-time Grammy Award-winning Filipino-Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Lil Eddie, has just released his latest single titled Six Feet Away on the 8th of April which goes to solidify his title as one of the most successful Filipino Global musicians in the world.

The song Six Feet Away was a perfect release for the covid situation that we just went through around the world. The track was written when the six feet rule was put in place to prevent further transmission of the virus, making us farther from our loved ones and making us long for social interaction that was so common to us before. It’s a song that perfectly describes this feeling of loneliness and isolation, and it shines a light on what keeps afloat through rough times, love. “It was only right to also release a song in the ballad temperature as this is what people supported the most when it comes to my music. The singer in me” says Lil Eddie.

The track is produced by Lil Eddie himself with him laying down a beautiful piano to soothing vocals, it’s a beautiful ballad that only exemplifies the message of the lyrics. The music video, which has already amassed over 70K views since its release just two weeks ago, was directed by Eddie Morales who is a long-time collaborator, and features an interpretive dance alongside Lil Eddie’s performance.

“If I got twenty-four hours of breath left in my lungs, and the world's gonna end tomorrow, you should know you are the one. What I would do, to be six feet away from you.”

Lil Eddie aside from all the Grammy nominations and awards that he has received has had so many accolades in his career that found their roots in his childhood. He has writing credits for the likes of Usher, Jennifer Lopez, P. Diddy, and so much more, and he has also helped with the formation of the famous group Fifth Harmony. More recently, his single Statue has already amassed 24 Million streams on Spotify, with shoutouts from the BTS Crew and having over 73K videos being made to the track on TikTok.

There are people who deserve to be placed in the Hall of Fame, Lil Eddie is one of these artists and is truly a testament to how amazing Filipino talent can get. He has more music to share with his audience that is only growing each day and one day he plans to come to the Philippines to thank the Filipinos who have supported him personally. So make sure to watch out for Lil Eddie and his future plans!
