Maruxa Lynd

You let go of people, not on the grounds that you don't give them affection, but because you don't need them at all anymore. Because accepting that letting them go would be the best idea on learning how to be happy on your own path. This subject matter is what Malaysia-based artist Maruxa Lynd brings us her latest single titled "Flight Mode".

"Flight Mode" is about embracing the uncertainty of the future and just letting go of those that no longer bring joy to your life. Maruxa Lynd was going through a dark time and when she wrote the verses to her single, expressing the things she needed without the dread of being judged. When asked about the story behind the song, Maruxa told Beat This that, "It was a type of therapy for me, a reminder that every night comes with a brighter day and that just like time, it too, shall pass."

The single was produced by Malaysian DJ/Producer Reyza; whose versatility as a music producer is evident with his work prior to making "Flight Mode". The two started collaborating way back year 2021 when the pandemic and lockdown happened and decided to continue making the song at their own homes, aiming to create a dancey song that has a Calvin Harris/Dua Lipa "One Kiss" type of vibe.

It was always Maruxa Lynd's dream to become a singer ever since she was a little girl. She started her journey in the music scene at 22 with her band Beatburns. Maruxa Lynd has achieved so much in her music career in a short span, She has performed in festivals and toured abroad, "Flight Mode" has been featured in Apple Music's Breaking Malaysian Playlist in 2020.
