“ 'Cause I'm tolerating all of your desires

I'll keep you wanting me more, ooh

Leave but I'll keep you comin'

I'm sure it's my love that got you suffocated”

- Arthur Nery

Soulful and emotional, Philippine-based artist Arthur Nery’s tunes have been making strides in the music community both here and worldwide. With over 800,000 monthly listeners, his new tune "Take All The Love" is bound to get audiences hooked on the track.

Although based in Manila, Arthur Nery is currently working from his hometown, Cagayan de Oro. This Filipino musician has impressed many with his quick rise to stardom and popularity, his tracks all being released within the last year or so. He stated that he thought this was “very flattering as [he] is still relatively new to the music industry”, however, he’s been writing music since 2018 as well as performing in bars, something he’s stated he particularly enjoys because of the more intimate nature of it.

On the track, he worked with his go-to producers Yuuki, Axel, and Neuvmbr. The track is indicative of Arthur’s signature soulful sound and passionate lyrics.

'Cause I'm tolerating all of your desires

I'll keep you wanting me more, ooh

Leave but I'll keep you comin'

I'm sure it's my love that got you suffocated

– Lyrics from "Take All The Love"

I found the lyrics particularly beautiful, discussing the cross between passion and pain when the love between two people is incredibly intense— a feeling I think many people come across at least once in their lives and can affect them immensely. Arthur’s raw lyrics encapsulate these emotions very well and there are hints of the artists he’s been inspired by, including legendary names like Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble, and Bruno Mars.

“Be yourself. Be passionate with your craft. Some people will use you, stay away from them.”Arthur Nery on what he thinks artists should remember.

Some of Arthur’s other tracks, including his collaborative release from last year with fellow Filipino artist Jason Dhakal. "Happy w u" also portrays the same conflicting emotions in a very poetic way. However, "it's about reciprocation" whereas "'Take All The Love' is the opposite”, states Arthur. The track is nearing 3 million streams on Spotify, and "Take All The Love" is following suit with 650,000 plays and counting.

As for the future, Arthur Nery is open to the idea of slowly starting to explore other genres other than R&B. He’s excited for audiences to hear his upcoming releases, and with such a large following so early on in his career, it’s clear listeners are already hooked. I believe this is greatly due to his honestly raw lyrics and the emotions he’s able to convey with both his melodies and soulful voice.
