Upcoming, budding Cebu-based R&B rapper and artist MCREL has just released his smooth, catchy track "Time", an exciting and relatable track that already engaged audiences are sure to love.

MCREL has been featured on Spotify playlists like Fresh Finds Philippines and raked in almost 490,000 streams on his 2019 single "Airwaves" (featuring fellow Philippine artist Carlisle). Releasing music since 2018 and dropping infectious tunes like "24midnight" (that oozes a relaxed, sensual vibe that would be perfect for midnight drives), MCREL has an evident groove and flow that continues to be showcased in his releases. Aside from this, MCREL also performed alongside the popular music duo Route83 and has been interviewed on radio stations like 92.3 Magic Radio about his growing music career.

MCREL has a clear ability to candidly articulate his feelings for the girl portrayed in the song, a characteristic that adds a very relatable, youthful appeal. When listening to "Time", it almost feels as though you and your best friend are catching up and he's telling you about his girl. MCREL describes how the song talks very honestly about making time for the person you love the most. "Quarantine made us very distant but I could not make it as an excuse to make time, states the artist.

Kenneth Yap, better known as his artist name KY Beats was described as the "mastermind" and producer behind the track. MCREL mentions how KY Beats had already had a lot of beats that MCREL looked through and felt particularly drawn to the sound that is now the music behind "Time" writing to it instantly after hearing it.

Being in the music scene for 5 years now, MCREL is positive-minded about continual growth and working hard for success. "All I need to do is just keep pushing and believing in myself", he says. Performing on the Beat This Anniversary last 2019 and being surrounded by other talented artists was a huge highlight for him and a reminder to keep going.

A particular artist who has always been a huge inspiration for MCREL is one of the most famous and legendary rappers of all time, Eminem. MCREL admires his "don't give a damn" attitude.

Audiences can also look forward to a music video for "Time" dropping in July, in which the artist mentions how interesting artistic elements are going to be showcased. MCREL is someone who holds his music to a high standard, wanting it to portray himself and his story genuinely. When asked what he wants his audiences to keep in mind when listening to music, he states that he wants "them to remember [him] as someone who isn't making music just because he wants to make music, [but to] to know [his] story and [that he's] doing this to not only be recognized but be appreciated."
